Clothing Room


Overview

The Clothing Room provides free, gently-used clothing to individuals and families in need across North Alabama. We offer seasonal clothing, coats, shoes, work attire, children’s items, and emergency clothing for households experiencing crisis.

Who We Serve

Anyone living in our nine-county service area (Colbert, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan) who needs clothing support—no income requirement and no referral required.

Hours of Operation

  • Mondays & Wednesdays:

    9 am – 1 pm

  • Additional seasonal hours or closures are announced on our Facebook page.

  • Coming Soon Friday Shopping starting in mid March ‘26.

What to Bring

  • Photo ID of all adults 18 years and older

  • Social Security cards for all household members

What We Accept

  • New or gently used clothing

  • Coats and winter wear

  • Seasonal clothing for the current season and/or the upcoming season

  • Baby clothing

  • Jeans (even ripped—we repair them!)

How to Donate

Clothing donations are accepted during normal office hours. Community groups, schools, and churches are invited to host clothing drives.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No appointment is needed. The Clothing Room operates on a first-come, first-served basis during our posted hours. Please bring your photo ID and a Social Security card for all household members when you arrive.

  • All items are provided at no cost. Our goal is to make sure families and individuals can access clean, suitable clothing without any financial burden. Thanks to generous community donations, we can provide clothing, coats, and other items at no cost to individuals and families.

  • Families can visit once per season unless there are emergency circumstances. Households may visit according to our current guidelines, which can change based on program capacity and donations. If unsure, don't hesitate to get in touch with our office or check for seasonal updates. Our goal is to serve as many households as possible, and seasonal visits help ensure fair access for everyone.

  • We offer a wide range of items based on donations, including:

    • Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing

    • Seasonal wear

    • Work attire

    • Baby clothing and blankets

    • Seasonal items availability depends on donations, so that items may vary from time to time.

  • Yes! We gratefully accept clean, gently used clothing and shoes. Seasonal items are especially needed during or before the season. Donations can be dropped off during regular office hours. Groups may also host clothing drives; please don't hesitate to get in touch with us to coordinate.

  • Yes, we gladly accept donations of clean, gently used clothing. Items should be free of stains, tears, strong odors, and excessive wear. We can also accept worn or ripped jeans; our skilled volunteer can repair them beautifully!

    Donations may be dropped off during regular office hours 8am - 3pm.
